Two Moons Computing Ltd
Two Moons Computing Ltd, provide IT support services to us, a part of their support service consists of system backups stored offsite on their equipment. This data is encrypted and stored physically and technically in a secure fashion.
Where necessary or required we obtain client information from or share client information with:
- Representatives of the client whose personal data we are processing e.g. estate agents, mortgage providers, financial advisors.
- Family and associates of the client.
- Solicitors and conveyancers dealing with the ‘other side’ in transactions and other legal matters.
- Regulatory authorities e.g. SRA.
- Courts and tribunals.
- Money Laundering check providers.
- PII insurer.
Not only will your allocated fee-earner will have access to your information, their secretary, or other fee-earner may have access, including temporary staff. If you are not happy for another person to have access to your file, please confirm this in writing.
Goodhand & Forsyth Solicitors takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: -
SSL, TLS, encryptions, restricted access, IT authentication, firewalls, anti-virus and physical building security.
Transfers Outside the EU
Personal data in the European Union is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) but some other countries may not necessarily have the same high standard of protection for your personal data. Goodhand & Forsyth Solicitors does not transfer or store any personal data outside the EU.
Consequences of Not Providing Your Data

How Long We Keep Your Data
Goodhand & Forsyth Solicitors only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.
